W. Neil Smith, 88, passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021 at his residence under the care of GHC Hospice and surrounded by his loving family. Neil was born in Glennville, Georgia, December 21, 1932 to William Quinton and Genis Kicklighter Smith and lived in this area most of his life. He was retired from Southern Natural Gas, self employed in the construction industry, and owner and operator of Red Gate Mobile Home Park. He and his wife also owned and operated Red Gate Flower Nursery in Rincon for many years. Neil enjoyed life, he loved riding horses, barrel racing, traveling, riding his motorcycle, telling his famous stories and was the Mayor of Stafford Subdivision, where he lived in Crescent, Georgia. He never met a stranger and lived a long life to the fullest, accomplishing anything he set his mind to. Neil made several trips on his motorcycle to Sturgis, South Dakota with his wife and children. His family was his life and he loved to spend time with them. Neil was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty Mooney Smith and sons, Bill Smith and Barry Smith.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Smith Family Cemetery, 5090 E. Hencart Rd., Glennville, Georgia, with Rev. Tommy Whaley officiating.
