Marie Blocker

Marie Blocker, 94, passed away Friday, October 19, 2018 at her residence, after a short illness, surrounded by her family. She was born January 23, 1924 to Ernest and Sarah Ann Smith Merrell and lived here for 60 years. She was a homemaker, loving caring wife, mother, and grandmother who loved to take care of her family. She enjoyed going to yard sales and going out to eat with her family. She was a member of Pigott Branch Baptist Church and is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harvey Blocker, son, Billy Blocker, daughter, Betty DeLoach, grandchildren, Marie Todd and Tammy Blocker and a daughter-in-law, Kathy Blocker.

Daughter-in-law, Judy Blocker of Glennville, GA
17 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and several other relatives also survive.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm, Sunday, October 21, 2018 at Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 am, Monday, October 22, 2018 at the chapel of Brannen-Kennedy Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Pigott Branch Church Cemetery.
